Our businesses run along one line of country — the plain at Patna, then up the Teesta valley into the hills of East Sikkim.

An operating company, not a holding company.

Bytster was set up in 2017 to build software for places the big platforms reach late, or not at all. We started with HungerBay, delivering food across the Teesta valley in Sikkim. Since then we've added a two-wheeler ride and parcel service on the same roads, and a cafe on our home ground in Patna.

We write our own apps, sign up our own restaurants and riders, and run the kitchens and support desks ourselves. That means the product team and the people on the ground answer to the same company — problems on the road get fixed in the app, and the other way round.

HungerBay is our first business and still our largest. It connects people across seven towns in the Teesta valley to the kitchens and bakeries around them — Chinese, tandoori, biryani, momos, cakes — with our own riders handling the last mile. Restaurants get a dashboard, marketing tools and a delivery fleet they could not run alone; customers get real menus from real kitchens, with live order tracking and table booking.

The app now carries groceries and stationery alongside food. HungerBay and Dailybird share the same coverage, so a town that gets one gets both.

Dailybird runs the road, not a city grid. A single route from Kumrek through Rangpo and Majitar — with a branch out to Mamring — continues north through Burdang and Singtam to Topakhani. A rider pulls up, you get on the back, and you're across town faster than anything on four wheels can manage on those roads.

The same fleet carries parcels: documents, tiffins and small packages, handed over the same day. Everything is booked in the app, with the rider's ETA on screen and payment on arrival or in-app. Dailybird runs the same seven towns HungerBay delivers to, and new stops go live on both as the network grows.

Born in Patna, brewed by nature. A waterfall cafe and multi-cuisine kitchen in Kankarbagh.

Natura is where Bytster comes home. A cafe built around greenery and a flowing waterfall in the middle of Kankarbagh, with a live grill, a tandoor and a Chinese wok station running through the day. The menu moves between Patna favourites and the food people travel for — hand-crafted burgers, wholesome bowls, and coffee brewed properly.

Poolside and back-gazebo seating can be booked for groups. It's open every day, from late morning until eleven at night.

How the company is put together

Four things we do ourselves, across all three businesses.

Product and engineering

Customer apps for iOS and Android, restaurant and rider apps, and the backends behind them — all built and maintained by our own team in Patna.

Last-mile delivery

Our own riders, dispatch and support, running food, groceries and parcels through hill roads where routing has to be learned rather than bought.

Merchant operations

Onboarding restaurants and shops, photographing and pricing menus, and giving owners the tools to run promotions and track their own orders.

Food and beverage

A full kitchen and floor operation at Natura Cafe — costing, recipes, SOPs and service standards run to the same discipline as the software.
